Costs

Simple Wedding Ceremony or handfasting ceremony - $175.
Rehearsal - $75
Elopement service - $50

Wedding Bulletins – 20 single sheet or 10 double sheet bulletins are included free with both the traditional wedding or handfasting services. Additional copies are available at $.50 for single sheet or $1:00 for double sheets. Bulletins are printed on white or ivory linen paper.

Venue – Your choice, but we are hapy to make reccomendations.

The simple wedding or handfasting ceremony includes:

Initial consultation – You meet at your home with the officiate to discuss your preferences. At this stage you will talk a little about your life together so that the officiate can begin to understand the type of ceremony you would like. Would you like a traditional service, or would you both prefer something more unique? What are your wedding colors? Would you like a religious or non-religious ceremony? Would you like family or friends to be involved? Are you hiring a ‘wedding planner’ to choreograph the event, or would you prefer the officiate to choreograph the service for you? What readings and blessings would you like used? (Please see Readings, Prayers, and Blessings section for reccomendations). At this meeting, should you wish to move ahead with your ceremony you will pay for your wedding.

A wedding Bulletin and liturgy plan are designed, and a sample mailed to you. This plan is unique and based upon your conversation with the officiate. You are asked to check it to make sure you are happy with the design and content. If changes need to be made another proof will be sent to you that incorporates any final changes you might wish.

If you wish a rehearsal then the officiate will meet you at the wedding venue and walk the wedding party through the entire wedding service. If you have a wedding planner then he/she will choreograph the service. If you do not have a wedding planner then the officiate will be happy to choreograph the service for you.

The Wedding! The officiate will be available 30 minutes before the wedding to ensure that everything is in place. After the wedding the officiate will be available for another 30 minutes to ensure any paperwork is taken care of, (marriage license or certificate), as well as being available for photographs if you so wish.

The Elopement Service.
This service takes place at New Light MCC, 40 W. Church Street, Hagerstown, and is available immediately as available. Please give as much notice as possible to avoid dissapointment. Last minute services may be available at other venues depending upon availability.

Please note that we reserve the right to refuse to conduct a service if we believe that one of the parties involved is being coerced or is not in a stable frame of mind. Marriage is the union of equals and Uniquely Weddings will only marry couples where each person unreservedly gives themselves to the other and accepts a responsibility of care.

Uniquely Weddings operates within a 25 mile radius of Hagerstown – for other areas travel costs for the officiate are calculated on the distance and accessibility. These costs are usually in the region of $1.00 per mile.

Cancellations with at least 48 hours notice are refunded 50% of fees paid. Cancellations with less that 48 hours notice receive no refund.
